I made my blog look better by applying all of the design aspects discussed. I used contrast by making my post header background red and the text white. This make the post title stand out a bit more. I also kept my background white and my blog title text black. This really make the title stand out. For alignment I used side borders to keep everything that belongs together grouped. I used repetition in my bolg by making all of my body text the same font and all of my headings the same fonts. I didn't want to use so much proximity because I like the way my blog looked with some white space. I used some of the advice from my comment and added color and a background image. This made my blog have some more depth.
I like the way you used the background on the sides. Very subtle but effective. This blog is very easy to read and gets straight to the point. The title font is cool looking and I also like the "A blog in progress." Good job!
